Unearthed was born from a deep sense of curiosity, driven by a desire to reconnect with the fundamental principles of photography. This project focuses on creating unique chemigram and lumen prints, made without the use of a camera, lens, or negative. Instead, I experiment with the raw interaction between light, chemicals, and expired photographic papers, each with its own distinct history and texture. These papers, discovered in my late grandfather's darkroom, carry with them a sense of nostalgia and legacy, adding a personal dimension to the work. By using these forgotten materials, I explore the technical aspects of photography and themes of memory and time, creating a tactile bridge between the past and present.
